Adjustment to diagnosis

Psychological intervention for adjustment to a life-changing diagnosis - whether this is cancer, chronic illness, neurological disease, or major injury - can be crucial in  helping people cope with emotional, cognitive, and behavioural distress, enhance quality of life, and promote adaptive coping strategies. I use evidence-based interventions to help you understand and adjust to your diagnosis.

Carers support

Psychological intervention for carers offers vital emotional support and coping strategies to individuals who are providing care to others. These interventions can help caregivers manage stress, anxiety, and feelings of isolation, allowing them to better handle the demands of their role. By providing a safe space to express your feelings and experiences, the interventions I offer fosters resilience and promotes mental well-being. I will support you to develop strategies to support the person you are caring for whilst maintaining your own wellbeing.

Complex grief

My interventions for complex grief offers a safe and compassionate space to allow structured, evidence-based support to help your process your loss in a way that promotes healing, acceptance, and peace.

Neuropsychological assessment

Formal neuropsychological assessment can be a valuable tool in understanding cognitive difficulties such as poor memory, concentration, or ability to plan and organise.  This can help inform diagnosis, but also helps to develop strategies to support ability to attend to normal day activities by highlighting strengths and weaknesses you may have.
